DIY workshops with Tina Gleisner, June 4, 11, 18

Tina Gleisner of "Home Tips for Women" is back again this year by popular demand and offering three informative sessions.

June 4 - Tips for keeping your home's interior in tip top shape
You want to paint the family room but … maybe you first need to take care of the door you can’t lock or the leaky faucet. We’ll review home maintenance priorities and look at strategies to combine necessary repairs with simple home improvements. So pick a room in your house, and come build a plan to turn it into your favorite room. Hint: We’ll cover repairs, painting and how trim can solve problems and add personality.

June 11 -  How savvy homeowners buy products
You’ve been wanting to replace the hallway carpeting with wood flooring, and there’s a great sale but … you aren’t sure if this is the right product.
Learn what to consider when purchasing products for your home -- you replace a car after 5 to 10 years, but houses last a hundred years and grow in value when you make the right decisions.

June 18 - Exterior home maintenance
Just like a winter coat keeps you warm, your home’s exterior is meant to keep you dry and comfortable. From the roof to the foundation, decks and more, you’ll learn how to inspect your home for winter and storm damage. We’ll review home maintenance priorities so you know what problems need to be fixed tomorrow, and how an airtight home can lower your home’s heating and air conditioning costs.
